Eyes down, shoulders slumped
Shudder at the thought
Of one more day
Overcome daily by pandemics
It’s not easy to be courageous
While tragedy surrounds
Sun goes up, sun goes down
Birds fly north, birds fly south
Through steel walls
The evolutionary call of migration
For the Passenger Pigeon
Left no survivors
What direction is our evolution
The path of lemmings
Or enlightenment
A complicated dilemma
Is our migration worth
One more day
