….MONTANA I LOVE YOU….

I began my life, no thanks to me, in Miles City Montana. I followed my parents from town to town as my dad climbed the ladder. He went from lineman to management with Ma Bell, from Forsyth, to Red Lodge, Laurel, Anaconda, Deer Lodge, and I graduated from high school in Hamilton Montana. It was from east to west from birth to today.

When I graduated from high school, I moved to Helena, the state capital, where I started my nurses training, then to Butte America, to finish my nursing degree. I got married in Butte on Halloween by a old blind justice of the peace, talk about an omen, before I left the state to do my anesthesia training, with total intent of returning to Montana and practice where I could find a place that needed me. I ended up in Polson Montana, and over the last fifty years moved to Missoula and finished my career in Dillon Montana, thanks to Covid!

Montana has been good to me, and I love this state, it’s still wide open spaces, and a great place to live, but just like everywhere, in the last 70 years, there has been a lot of changes, some good, some bad, you know, yin and yang ☯️
