Mike, It is so strange, I live in the present, but my mind is still in 1967. I was fortunate in the sense I didn’t have to go, but I have two friends on The Wall, and my best friend, who made it home, didn’t make it for long. In 1992 I brought a few of his small things and a written explanation of why his name should be with his comrades, so hopefully his name is in the archive. I have to admit I’m still bitter and sad, and I will never understand how we can send young men and woman off to die or be scared for life without good reason. The Wall will always be part me and our generation. What’s happening now? Just another sad story. Thanks for responding Mike. D
