Gun control, or any other commonsense measure to get a grip on this ghastly cost of life in our country has gone past the realm of sanity. Gun violence is, and always will be a true public health issue until commonsense measures are taken and enforced. The average yearly cost of gun violence to the U.S. is 2.8 billion dollars. I’m sure, if we thought about it, we could find a better way to use that money. A study by Johns-Hopkins University stated that if a patient, because of a gun shot wound, was admitted over night to the hospital, the average cost to the patient would be over $90,000. I can not imagine the hospital bills that will be received by the survivors of the Las Vegas massacre. Maybe the NRA can do a trump, and pay their bills?
